Joandakoen memoria gordetzea da egin dakiekeen omenaldirik onena. Bada, hona hemen memoria ariketa bat, sentimenduz beterikoa eta denboran iraun gurako lukeena. Ikusi arte amama!
lyrics
Gerra osteko sasoian gertatu ziranak
Kontau euskuzan baten Sestaoko amamak
Preso luze emon eban bere aita zanak
Istoriak ikaratu gintuezan danak
Bilboko espetxean bere aitak urte bi
Egunero joakola bisitan aitteri
Hara arte heltzeko bere galdu egun erdi
Baina askatu artean holan behar segi
Akabun jeneralak antza eban parkau
Eta horretarako gutuna idatzi dau
Baina papel ziztriña belu zan ailegau
Bidean galdu ebazan hiru aste edo lau
ta heldu orduko aita fusilatuta dau
Enterratzeko bere falta da dirua
Prestamistara joan ta hau bere karua
Halan be ailega jakon hiletan ordua
Samurra ez eban euki hak bizimodua
Amamak esan eban daula parkatuta
Hori bertute dala ezin jako uka
istoria ez daiten lotu denboran galduta
ez daiguzan gureak itzi hor ahaztuta.
Akabun jeneralak antza eban parkau
Eta horretarako gutuna idatzi dau
Baina papel ziztriña belu zan ailegau
Bidean galdu ebazan hiru aste edo lau
Amamak esan eban daula parkatuta
Hori bertute dala ezin jako uka.
Istoria ez daiten lotu denboran galduta
Ez daiguzan gureak itzi hor ahaztuta
Ez daitezela lotu guzurrez ostuta
ENGLISH
1. Grandma’s:
Our grandma from Sestao told us about postwar events and the long time her father remained in prison. That story made us shudder // Her father, whom she visited daily, spent two years in prison in Bilbao. She lost half a day to get there, but was the only option until they release him. // Finally, it seems that General forgave him and, therefore, has written a letter, but the little piece of paper has failed to reach, lost in it’s way for three or four weeks, and when it arrived, the father is shot . // Not enough money to bury him. They have gone to the lender, but it is also expensive. Anyway, he came to his funeral without having lived an easy life. // Grandma has said it is forgiven, and can not be denied that this is a virtue. For history does not get lost in time, shall we not banish our people to oblivion. Shall not lies hide them!
